Crass. The Sound Of Free Speech

Starting from their iconic symbol, the standard-bearers of self-management, including Penny Rimbaud, Steve Ignorant and Eve Libertin, undertake a timely analysis of their art, their music and their ethics that influenced those who found no place in a brutally hostile society.

With their songs against nationalism, sexism, racism, militarism and violence, Crass are considered the natural antagonists of the Sex Pistols, aware that there was no point in declaring Anarchy in the UK, if this had not actually been experienced.

Celebratory and raw, the film is as close to the history of the era as you can get.
