Aimed at a small audience at a time, the performance included readings of passages from a text by Natalia Ginzburg dedicated to Cesare Pavese, in room 346 of the Turin hotel where the writer took his own life.
The performance does not take place, due to a controversy raised in the pages of the newspaper The print from Lorenzo Mondo, who harshly criticizes the initiative.
A year after the project, Cesare Viel created, with the director Gianfranco Barberi, Hotel Roma, the film in which he himself prepares the performance, recounts the unexpected censorship and walks through the streets of Turin dear to Pavese.
