I remember

Borders established for over a century have always resulted in deaths. But on December 28, 2011, Turkish warplanes killed 34 people, 19 of them under the age of 18. The 34 young men were, as usual, trading gasoline, sugar, and tea on the border.
Ahmet Encü recalls the cross-border trade he has known for 62 years. And that night of December 28, he also remembers fourteen-year-old Sinan, who lost his sixteen-year-old brother in the 2011 massacre… Sinan's mother, left with only one child to support the household, fearfully awaits Sinan's return.
Note: Sinan Encü died in a car accident in December 2018.
