Introduction
Giovanni Battista Canepa, known by his nom de guerre as Marzo, represents a unique revolutionary and partisan figure. Born in Chiavari in 1896, his adventurous life played a key role in all the most important events of the first half of the 900th century. From his participation in the First World War to his opposition to fascism and his condemnation to internal exile; from his participation in the Spanish Civil War to the Resistance.
