The story of Sirio Biso, known by his nickname "Rio," and his family, originally from Arcola, a small town in the province of La Spezia. A story with a unique historical significance, both on an ethical and political level, and on a more personal and existential level.
What makes it even more important is the deep emotional and ideological relationship that binds Sirio to the leading exponents of Italian anti-fascism, exiled in France in the 1930s, in particular Carlo Rosselli, Emilio Lussu and Aldo Garosci.
An emblematic story for understanding that historical period in which a generation of intellectuals, workers, artisans, and ordinary people began to lay the foundations for the armed struggle against fascism. But Monsieur Biso's story also has a bitter and difficult side, as it was inexplicably erased and, over time, forgotten.
