Introduction
We traveled to northern Vietnam, to Tam Dao National Park. The sanctuary rescues, monitors, and houses moon and sun bears rescued from torture for bile extraction, used in traditional Eastern medicine. The rescue center also has a positive impact on the local economy, through the hiring of staff and the purchase of raw materials and food.
