Crass bomb
Active from 1977 to 1984, Crass were a political and musical collective that worked hard to convey a conscious and egalitarian ideal. They are considered the founders of the anarcho-punk scene and the main promoters of DIY practices.
Their original concept of direct action included, in addition to concerts combining visual arts and anarchist incitement, coordination of post-hippy communities and occupied spaces, the editing of underground magazines, and a record label. Crass subverted the dominant culture, leaving an indelible mark on the glossy showcase of the society of the spectacle, with a radical message that even today can serve as a detonator for thousands of young potential dissident activists.
Crass Bomb It is an anthology of the best essays, stories, and graphics from the libertarian group, which at the time represented a ticking time bomb ready to explode against the business sharks who were profiting from youth rebellion.
The volume is completed by a poignant statement written in 2009 by Penny Rimbaud, the band's former drummer, and some emotional translations of their songs by former punks and professional translators who were the first to love Crass.
