Bio

Specializing in storytelling techniques at the Scuola Holden, she has worked in the film industry since 2009 as a screenwriter, script supervisor, and director of short films, book trailers, and music videos. She also teaches Italian as a foreign language and English, as well as storytelling techniques in schools. In 2020, she founded Pietre Film, which focuses on storytelling and identity.
Ilaria Ciavattini directed the music video “Ho Visto Cose che …” (2009) for Yo Yo Mundi; the short film “Fortino Lato Est” (2010), which received a special mention at the European Short Pitch 2010; the short film “Ninna Nanna Ninna No” (2010), featuring Geppi Cucciari, included in the episodic film about precarious employment La Ballata dei Precari, for 01Cinema.net, screened at the Teatro Valle Occupato in 2012.
