Dionisio

Born in Turin in 1986, director, screenwriter and visual artist.
In 2007, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the Sergio Tofano Theatre School in Turin. She graduated in Philosophy with honors and holds a Master's Degree in Cinema/Philosophy from the UPJV (Fr).
She also trained with the collective a.titolo (Situa.to and Alcotra-Fr projects), with the documentary maker Daniele Segre (Master Fare Cinema, Bobbio) and with the director Alina Marazzi (Master IED, Milan).

For three years she was the artistic director of the historic LGBTQI festival - Lovers under the umbrella of the Turin Cinema Museum.
His production includes video installations and documentaries, including Sponde (2015) and La fabbrica è piena (2011) which have participated in numerous international festivals (Torino Film Festival, Visions du Réel, Taiwan Film Festival, etc.) and received numerous awards (Audience Award - Festival dei Popoli, Cariddi Award - Taormina Film Festival, Filmmaker Award, the Solinas Award for Best Documentary Screenplay, the Scam Award (Fr) and the Jury Award at Cine Verité in Iran).
As a documentary filmmaker, he edited the story, screenplay and a documentary episode Così lontano from the film by Andrea Fenoglio and Matteo Tortone Su Campi avversi from the project La terra che collega presented as a preview and in Italian competition at the Festival dei Popoli.
His video installations as an artist have been exhibited in various exhibition spaces at the PAC in Milan, Palazzo Grassi in Venice, the Berardo Museum in Lisbon, the MamBo in Bologna, the Centre d'Art Contemporain in Geneva, for the Piemonte Pavillon and the Congress of Free Artists in Alba curated by Carolyn Kristov-Bakargiev and in other international galleries.
His debut feature, The Last Things (Tempesta Film), was presented at the Venice Film Critics' Week and distributed by Istituto Luce Cinecittà in the fall of 2016. The film participated in numerous international festivals, including the Gothenburg Film Festival, the Moscow International Film Festival, Open Roads in New York, the Soluthurn Film Festival, the Houston Film Festival, the Durban Film Festival, and the Bucharest Film Festival. It was nominated for a David di Donatello Award, a Golden Globe Award, and won—among other awards—a Special Silver Ribbon for Best Screenplay in 2017.
As a teacher he has held courses for various institutions: Teatro Stabile-To, Scuola Civica - Mi, Communication Sciences - Unito, NYU Academy, Head – Geneva, IAAD, the Dicastery of Lugano, Aiace Turin and Arci Turin.
As director and writer, she oversaw the web advertising campaigns for Tim with Scuola Holden (2014) and that of Krizia with executive production by Kino Produzioni (with authors Carlo Sironi and Adriano Valerio). In 2020, she directed “Camera Chiara,” one of the film episodes of the experimental project of the Teatro Stabile di Torino - Teatro Nazionale curated by Valerio Binasco.
His latest film project, La voce di Arturo, was selected along with nine other international projects at the Berlinale Talents Script 2019 (for authors only) from 3400 submissions from 130 countries. It also won a grant from Nipkow - Programm/Media Brandenburg and an ArtOmy-NY grant.
In 2020 she was awarded the Giuseppe Bertolucci Award - Best European Director Under 35 at the Teatro Argentina by director Mario Martone.
