Bio
Matteo Gariglio is an Italian-Swiss documentary filmmaker and photographer, born in Lucerne, Switzerland.
He studied visual communication with a specialization in video at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
He also holds a Master's degree in Documentary Directing from the Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias in Lisbon, the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest, and the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels.
Matteo Gariglio has worked on projects in several languages and in many countries around the world. His projects revolve around the human conditions of people living on the margins of modern society.
His short film, "EN LA BOCA", was nominated for the European Film Award, the Swiss Film Award, won several awards and was screened at over 100 international film festivals.
