Campana

Paolo Campana (1968) was born in Turin, where he currently lives. He graduated in Film History and Criticism and completed his studies at the University of Paris 8 and then in Derry, Northern Ireland. He worked for children's TV on Raitre and Raigulp, and after participating in Italian and international festivals with his short films and documentaries, and many years of experience as a DJ, he combined his passion for cinema with his passion for music, synthesizing them in his first feature film, Vinylmania, quando la vita corre a 33 giri al minuto (2011), the official film of Record Store Day in 2012, co-produced by Stefilm and ZDF-Arté, which participated in more than 14 festivals around the world and was broadcast in Italy on Sky Arte and Rai 5. In 2014 he wrote a monograph on the cinema of Leos Carax: Lo Schermo e il doppio. Since 2015 he has curated the international documentary competition of the Seeyousound International Music Film Festival. Wings Are Not For Sale is his latest documentary born from the collaboration with the artist Sara Conforti.
