Bio

Monica Affatato was born in Turin. He studied opera singing at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Turin.
From ’96 he began working in the world of cinema and audiovisual, participating in some film productions as an assistant director and production manager. Among these "Il tempo dell'amore" (1997) by Giacomo Campiotti, "Così ridevano" (1998) by Gianni Amelio, "Nemmeno il destino" (2004) by Daniele Gaglianone.
He worked on soundtracks, including that of "I nostri anni" (Locarno Film Festival 2000) by Daniele Gaglianone and the documentary film "Storie di Lotta e Deportazione" (2002), produced by ANCR and in collaboration with the Shoah Foundation.
She began working as an author on the documentary film "Il reduce" (selected at the 1999 Turin Film Festival), "Tutti mi chiedono da dove vengo nessuno vuol sapere chi sono" (selected at Arcipelago Festival 2000). This journey culminated with the making of the film "La Voce Stratos" (2009), co-directed with Luciano d'Onofrio, distributed in cinemas, in Feltrinelli's Real Cinema series and broadcast by Rai Storia and RTSI. Musical film represents, within its path, the link between two of its great passions: cinema and music.
