This short film seeks to shed light on a horrific and inhumane tradition present in Kurdish families, particularly in Mahabad: female genital mutilation.
The carefree life of two young girls, longtime friends, is shattered when their families decide to subject them to female circumcision, with the help of a gypsy. Both girls fall victim to this tradition in their own ways.

This latest edition was supposed to take place in November 2019, but a month earlier, Turkish tanks annihilated the political experience of the Rojava Federation and consequently the festival as well.
